We take you from Valencia airport to the city centre in about twenty minutes, at a fixed price and door to door. We pick you up at the terminal, at Joaquín Sorolla station or wherever you tell us, and drop you at your hotel or apartment. No taxi queues and no changing trains with your luggage.
Valencia is twelve kilometres from the airport (VLC, in Manises), so this is one of the shortest transfers we run. It is the third city of Spain and it brings together an old town, a city beach and farmland that is still working just outside: you can have breakfast opposite the Lonja, eat rice by the sea and be back in the centre without leaving the city.
What to see in Valencia
The old town is best on foot. The Lonja de la Seda, a World Heritage site, and the Central Market face each other, and the cathedral with its Micalet tower is a few minutes away. Climbing the Serranos Towers at sunset is worth the detour.
The City of Arts and Sciences is the modern postcard: the Hemisfèric, the Science Museum and the Oceanogràfic, the largest aquarium in Europe. You get there along the old Turia riverbed, now a nine-kilometre park crossing the city and the best way to get around by bike.
If you are here for the beach, Malvarrosa and Las Arenas are inside the city, with a promenade and restaurants on the sand. Fifteen minutes away by car begins La Albufera, with El Palmar and its boat trips at sunset.
What to eat in Valencia
Valencian paella is made with chicken, rabbit, garrofón beans and green beans, and it is eaten at lunchtime. El Palmar and Malvarrosa serve the traditional version; in the centre, check that it is cooked to order. Other rices worth trying: arroz a banda, arroz del senyoret and oven-baked rice.
For a snack, the mid-morning esmorzaret, a generous sandwich with peanuts and cazalla, is an institution. And horchata with fartons, made from local tiger nuts, is best in Alboraya or at any horchatería in the centre.
Getting from the airport to Valencia
The airport is in Manises, twelve kilometres from the centre. There is a metro (lines 3 and 5) and a bus, but with luggage, with children or arriving at night, a private transfer pays off: we meet you in arrivals with your name and drop you at the door.
