Sagunto is a town very close to Valencia that combines history, gastronomy and tourism all year round. It also has large companies and a very important industrial network for the community.
Located some 35 km from Valencia airport, it is one of the most important cities in the province, not only because of its proximity to the capital. Its seaport, smaller than that of Valencia, and it's good road connections to large cities make Sagunto a perfect enclave for companies that move large volumes of business.
What to see in Sagunto?
Divided into two large population centres, Sagunto in the interior and Puerto de Sagunto on the Mediterranean coast.
Sagunto offers tourists a Roman, Jewish and Islamic legacy in its streets. It is popularly known for its Roman castle (although few remains of Roman origin remain, as later civilisations have influenced its final architecture), on top of a hill. Built over an Iberian settlement, it was destroyed by the Iberians after the battle against the Carthaginians commanded by Hannibal Barca and was the trigger for the Second Punic War. The Roman castle of Sagunto is undoubtedly of very large dimensions. It also has a Roman theatre that can be visited and is still in use on August nights during the “Sagunt a escena” festival. Strolling through the old town you can see, at street level, the entrance to what was once an ancient Roman circus, now disappeared, and tourists interested in the classical world should not miss the Sagunt Historical Museum.

The climb up to the castle offers tourists the chance to visit the Jewish quarter. Due to the prohibition that Jews were forbidden to live in Valencia, Sagunto became a place that housed a very important Jewish settlement due to its proximity to the Levantine capital.
Puerto de Sagunto is the largest urban centre in Sagunto. It grew up around the blast furnaces and its activity and size have allowed it to grow to become one of the five towns in the province of Valencia with the largest population.
It has an important tourist attraction, it's more than 13 km of fine sandy beaches of excellent quality and its proximity to Valencia make this destination one of the most complete (beach, mountains and history).

Sagunto's proximity to the Sierra Calderona and the Sierra de Espadán mountains makes it an excellent place to enjoy, in addition to sunny days on the beach or cultural visits through the history of the city, all kinds of sporting activities (hiking, mountain biking or cross-country running).
Nature lovers can enjoy a walk through the Marjal dels Moros, next to the beaches and bordering the municipality of Puçol.

What to eat in Sagunto?
In terms of gastronomy, Sagunto offers tourists a variety of dishes with products from the sea and the countryside, as well as typical sweets and even dishes with Sephardic heritage or Michelin-starred dishes in some restaurants in the old town, such as the Arrels Restaurant. These are typical Sagunto dishes:
- Baked rice with cod
- The patatasquetas
- The Peiptos
- Roman bread
- Tomato cake

And their sweets:
- Coca de llanda
- Tortas de San Blas

Transfers between Sagunto and Valencia for companies
In addition to a commercial port (APV) of relative importance due to its proximity to Valencia, Sagunto has one of the largest business parks in Europe, which continues to grow today. In addition to the industrial fabric already established in the industrial park that runs from the APV seaport to Sagunto, there is the new industrial park where companies such as Amazon, Mercadona have already set up their logistics centres, joining companies such as Zuvamesa or Jofemesa and, more recently, the Volkswagen group with the implementation of its gigafactory for batteries.

This makes Sagunto a destination for work visits for many professionals who land at Manises airport and need a vehicle to take them to the companies themselves.
At Transfers Valencia we want to help companies to speed up the mobility of their employees who need to travel to their offices in Sagunto and require transport with a private driver. We are aware of the need for companies to move employees from any point in the region to the offices and back to their destination, as well as the need for discretion and urgency, and we want to offer our collaboration to provide the best service without dependence on vehicles or loss of time.
