What to see in Jávea?

If you love history, Jávea hides treasures dating from prehistoric times to the Muslim period. You can visit its Archaeological Museum. You can also enjoy the history of the town in the open air by bathing, for example, in the Banys de la Reina (Queen's Baths), an old fish farm from Roman times.

- In January, the festivities of San Antón take place, with its bonfire and blessing of animals, and the festivity of San Sebastián, patron saint of Jávea.
- In June the Bonfires of San Juan are celebrated, with “bous al carrer” (bulls), firework displays, parades and the monuments that burn on the night of 24 June.
- In July, the celebration of Moors and Christians takes place, with their disembarkation and parades of both armies.
- At the end of August, the festivity of the Virgen del Loreto takes place, with "bous a la mar", processions, open-air dances and firework displays.
What to eat in Jávea?
Jávea's gastronomy is closely linked to its location and proximity to the sea. Visitors can enjoy a wide variety of vegetables, as well as fish, shellfish and molluscs cooked in rice dishes, salted or in elaborate stews.
